If you haven't figured it out yet one of my passions is cars. I can take a car part and put it back together no problem. Its very hard, dirty and tedious work, but I love it. When I'm wrenching at a car I forget all my worries. I even forget to eat. I just love the fact that you can take a car thats just a regular so called "grocery getter" or a car that's supposedly slow or just plain looking and transforming it into something you envision only in your mind. I love to modify a car, make it look better, tweak the suspension, make it stronger, faster or just bringing it up to snuff again with regular maintenance. I will try posting up pics of some of the work that I have done. The truth is that my hobby/passion is a little wasteful for the fact that I just burn gas and rubber for the heck of it lol, but in my defense I'm still working with 4 cylinder cars and not the v-8's! I work with engines a third of the size of the engines I compete against.
So also in class we watched the film of Al Gore and "The Inconvenient Truth" and it posed alot of questions and proposed alot of ideas. It talked about global warming and the fact that we as humans burn fuel and waste energy to create massive amounts of co2 where the earth does nto have the time to replenish. He has an effect somehow as an activist and not as a scientist because he is in politics and can talk to Congress and the Senate and hopefully change some things. He definitely got into detail about what we are causeing the earth to do and that it we're causing it to trap heat inside its atmosphere because of this co2 thats layering under the atmosphere. he did bring up alot of disturbing things and I wish I could do more than what I'm doing already.
Lastly I hope to move forward in my education after leaving LaGuardia and going to a four year college and also getting my Masters and then go on to getting my Phd. I plan to use my education to educate people because I am going into teaching. I wish we live in an era where people see past color and race and just come together and change the world forever. There is no one bad in this world. We are all born good, but the things we encounter everyday shape us into what we have to do to survive. We need to help eachother.

Teacher of what? Tell more! You left us hanging :-)
So, the task for the next entries is to make them "bloggier"--ad photos of cars you like to this entry, for example, or add links in the entry to paleces/people you are writing about.
Hah cool blog. Thanks for the comment. And I know what you mean, I have often felt like I should just go to Law School- become some kind of Corporate Lawyer... think money- money -money so that i can really help the communities that need it most, working w/non profits, public service agencies, UN etc it's ALL ABOUT MONEY- it can be fustrating sometimes....
The catch is that corporate jobs, and doing things that traditionally equal lots of money is NOT MY PASSION therefore i cant go that route.
But hopefully as a scholar i can persuade rich-ppl in suits.... with facts, maybe a fancy PPP like Al Gores to donate donate donate!
Hah Take Care.

I like your blog. I don't know about cars, but I love the way some of them look. In particular I saw looked up and saw the Japanese Pivo (I think that's the name?) online and it was such a cute car. It also eliminates parallel parking as the wheels rotate and the car can park sideways. It's so cute.
As far as things you can do, The Green Book that we need for class has alot of simple things people can do to help the environment. Take a look, you'll be surprised at the things you can do to help the environment, and the things you may already be doing without knowing it.
Hey...I am not so good with cars. Actually, I do not drive b/c I dot know how to drive, but it is not that important for me.I like your blogs b/c you put a lot of pictures into them and it makes them more interesting in the eye of the reader. The format is good too! maybe you can write in bold letters for people like me (supposed to wear glasses but I don't!).Apart from that, I think that your ideas are relevant and I like your openess and sincerity of speech...
I have to say I love your blog. It was interesting to read and I feel like I got a better sense of who you are. I will admit that I got lost when you spoke about the cars and what you were using and weren't using. I don't know much about cars.
I love how even though you are really into cars, you also want to teach. I think that's just a great mix =)
Your blogs are pretty good. I like how in your last last entry you posted pictures of cars and compared them to others. You have everything spread out so it's not just in all one paragraph. Good job. I wish you would of went into depth about what you wanted to teach. Overall I think it's good.
PS. Love your ending...
So just to update people I am in school to become a biology teacher. I had this one teacher in high school that made biology so much fun and ever since then I was able to grasp it so much better. I think its very important to understand a little bit about every subject like history, english, math and especially science to understand life a little bit better.
